TDC Crank Sensor

Fits: Ford Escort / Sierra Cosworth (NOT for Escort Cosworth YBP T25 small turbo silver top engine)

TDC crank sensor is bolted to the Cosworth engine at the front end, adjacent to the crankshaft pulley which has 4 reference teeth.

The crank sensor sends a signal to the engine management ECU  whenever a tooth passes the sensor. From this signal the ECU determines engine speed (RPM) and the TDC*position of each piston (crankshaft position) .
