Genuine Subaru Impreza 12mm oil pump which has been modified by our GGR fully trained motorsport technicians.
Subaru Impreza engine failures are often caused by poor lubrication, and it is our opinion that the oil pump design is a possible cause. I.E. The pressure releif valve sticking.
It is also regarded as a must have modification enhancement with any Impreza rebuild or just peace of mind.
This oil pump incorporates a number of subtle modifications, solving these problems.
We use a Brand New Genuine Subaru oil pump and our in-house GGR Motorsport Technicians fit an improved pressure relief valve.
12mm rotor is for increased capacity and larger passages for better oil flow, which delivers an increased volume needed to ensure sufficient oil pressure at idle and lower RPM.
Highly recommended for race engines before dry sump systems. Also ideal for Impreza's that have external oil cooler; as the extra pump volume will help reduce the pressure loss in the system at lower RPM.
When fitting a new pump, it is recommended that you fit:
New front crank oil seal - GGS975. This presses into the front of the oil pump assembly. (included with this 12mm oil pump)
A new Lower oil pump seal - GGS1359 . This is situated behind the pump assembly between the block and oil pump. (included with this 12mm oil pump)
The oil pump to the block assembly needs a specialist Silicone Sealer - GGS662 Loctite grey 5699
