The Save A Battery™ Charger / Tester was designed because of clear shortcomings in then avaliable chargers. There was no simply way to tell if the battery was good, bad, or even if the charging system was working. Not knowing usually led to unnecessary battery purchases and a lot of wasted time and money... which is also not very Green. What I really wanted was a device that would charge my battery, maintain it, monitor it, and tell me if it was good or bad, keep it in perfect charged condition, and test my charging system. If that isn’t enough, I also wanted it to work as a Voltmeter to help me diagnose the wiring in the car and have a built-in Load Tester to provide a way to test and cycle weak batteries and bring them back to life.

Then it switches modes to maintain and monitor the battery to maximum performance levels while extending its life by years. Should the battery be bad, it tells you. If you connect the leads incorrectly, it tells you. If you have a problem with your charging system, it tells you and if everything is right, it tells you that too. Smart isn't it.
